Project Management Professional (PMP)®
The Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification is a highly regarded certification for professional project managers. To earn your Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification from PMI® you must pass a challenging test of your project management skills. By passing the PMP® certification exam, you're showing your project management skills and your command of the Project Management Institute, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) - Fifth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 2013. The PMP® exam is a computer-based exam with a time limit of two hours. The exam is taken at authorized testing centers. Candidates must qualify in order to sit for the exam. Individuals who hold a four-year bachelor's degree (or global equivalent) and have three years of project management experience are required to have 4,500 hours of experience leading and directing projects and 35 hours of approved education in project management. People with a high school diploma (or global equivalent) and five years of experience in project management are required to show 7,500 hours of experience leading and directing projects as well as 35 hours of approved project management education.

The PMBOK® Guide describes five process groups that are employed during a project. Questions on the PMP® exam cover these process groups. These five process groups include:
