LearnSmart Adopts Local Family With Thanksgiving
Food Drive
Tampa, Florida - October 20, 2011 - LearnSmart Systems announced its participation in a family adoption program sponsored by the Boys and Girls Club of Tampa Bay. Beginning October 17, LearnSmart will be collecting donations for a needy family in a farming community within the Tampa Bay area. The Boys and Girls Club family adoption program focuses on helping families with children by helping to meet essential needs for food, money, clothing and personal items. This sponsorship continues LearnSmart's Fall/Winter 2011 schedule of giving in the community. This is the first year LearnSmart has sponsored the event to benefit a family in the local community.
To encourage donations and incorporate a spirit of gamesmanship, LearnSmart has divided the staff into "donation teams." Each team is being encouraged to donate as much as possible and to solicit donations outside of the organization. The team Employees are using all outlets available to solicit donations from cleaning out their cupboards to setting up micro-giving accounts to help raise money for the drive. The team with the greatest amount of donations will earn a prize, and the satisfaction of providing the most to the adopted family.
Contributions from LearnSmart will consist of non-perishable food items, cash and personal/home items for the family. The collection will last through November 11. In addition to the items collected, LearnSmart will also be donating a turkey and multiple chickens to the family.
