LearnSmart has assembled an experienced management team of leaders who understand the marketplace, our customers, and what it takes to effectively operate a successful training company.
Jay Gandee is the President, owner, and founder of LearnSmart. He holds responsibility for the company’s extensive expansion, serving clients from a broad range of Fortune 500 companies, colleges and universities, government institutions and the armed forces.
Under Gandee, LearnSmart acquired the assets of PrepLogic, BrainBuzz.com, and CramSession, deals which brought together a host of unique learning assets and technologies which together have evolved into the learning solutions offered today. Gandee is a global advocate for technology based education and training. He continues to drive the progress and development of LearnSmart, as well as ventures in new media and corporate partnerships. Gandee is a graduate of the Florida State University.
Director of Courseware Development
Ammon Wiese joined LearnSmart in 2011 as part of the company’s effort to bring more courses and better courseware design to our customers. His team is tasked with creating easier to use, more engaging, and more productive training courses.
Having spent over 13 years in online courseware development, Ammon Wiese is a true pioneer and veteran of the e-learning industry. As an Instructional Designer, Wiese closely monitors and contributes to the latest tools and techniques in the industry. His passion is to find better ways of presenting complex training topics for faster and more thorough absorption by the consumer.
Wiese is a graduate of Weber State University.
Director of Products
Brian Fee is the Director of Products at LearnSmart. Fee is responsible for the production and implementation of products and services from the point of conception to the point of use. His team is tasked with meeting the need requirements of both individual clients and industry standards, integrating target goals of high performance.
Fee’s expertise in field concept, practices and procedures has enabled him to serve in a number of roles at LearnSmart, including previously as Marketing Manager. Fee was responsible for organizing all product strategy, product enhancement and product redesign along with overseeing product management and assisting in design and marketing functions.
Fee holds the Project Management Professional certification and graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications.
Director of Brand Development
Mark Norris is the Director of Brand Development for LearnSmart. Norris is responsible for all aspects of brand development from initial concept to final commercialization. Norris is tasked with extending the reach of LearnSmart’s distinct brand while protecting the integrity of that brand.
Norris has over 15 years experience in graphic design, brand development, and art commercialization. His work with LearnSmart has earned the Ad-Q award from Redmond Magazine for Outstanding Advertising. Since 2005, Norris has served in a number of senior management positions with LearnSmart including Art Director and Director of Operations.
Norris attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, before receiving his BFA in Graphic and Interactive Communication from Ringling College of Art and Design.
Director of Retail Sales
Don Snider was appointed Director of Retail Sales in 2011, managing individual sales of service. Snider is responsible for training, directing and supervising the LearnSmart end-user sales team, establishing lead territories, setting goals, and reaching quota. Snider works along side executive management, coordinating the operation of sales with marketing and product development determining customer needs, potential sales volume and pricing options that align with company goals and increase company revenue.
Joining LearnSmart in 2008 as a Senior Account Manager, Snider brings more than 10 years of sales experience to LearnSmart. In his previous role, Snider achieved top sale targets and earned the Excellence in Sales award for consecutive months. He performs as a recruiter, mentor and coach for his staff.
Snider received his Bachelors of Arts from Elmhurst College.
